Famous British actor Bernard Cribbins, who was appointed an OBE in 2011, has sadly died.

The 93-year-old agent announced his death in a statement on Thursday (July 28), saying: “His career spanned seven decades with such a varied body of work.”

Meet the wife of Bernard Cribbins

Born in Oldham, Lancashire, Bernard apprenticed at Oldham Repertory Theater where he met his wife of 66 years, Gillian.

Gillian McBarnett was also an aspiring actress and they married in 1955 and remained married until her death on October 11, 2021.

They lived together in Weybridge, Surrey and lived a long and happy life together, actually celebrating their diamond anniversary.

According to her IMDb profile, Jillian was born in 1932 in Chelsea, London and was an actress who starred in the 2012 film Run for Your Wife.

However, this is his only acting credit and despite being an aspiring actor, he lives a life away from the limelight.

Gillian died tragically in 2021
