West Ham and Newcastle now want £10m up front

West Ham United’s David Moyes is in competition with Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe for Marseille striker Bamba Ding, according to reports. MediaFootMarseille.

West Ham and Newcastle have targeted Bamba Ding

The French outlet has claimed that West Ham and Newcastle are among the clubs interested in signing Ding from Marseille in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers are still in the market for a striker despite the signing of Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, while the Magpies have identified the 22-year-old as a player who could continue to thrive in the future.

French club Strasbourg is said to be interested in signing Ding MediaFootMarseilleHe added that Marseille expect at least €12m (£10m) in transfer fees.

Bamba Ding has been with Marseille since 2020 and has developed at the French club.

This 22-year-old did it 11 start and 14 reserve missions In Ligue 1 for Marseille last season.

Ding scored seven goals and provided one assist in those games.

This young player also played three starting games and two substitute games for Marseille in the Europa League last season.

Ding continues to develop as a footballer and at £10m would be a good buy for West Ham or Newcastle, especially as he can play as a centre-forward, winger or traditional winger.
