Although the country singer clearly made a positive impression on viewers — enough to win the entire competition — she revealed in a new interview that she doesn’t think the audience has met the real Noah.

Thompson wants people to know that he’s fun to be around

At An Instagram live With The taste of the country On July 28, interviewer Addison Hager asked Thompson, who joined via video from Nashville, what fans still don’t know about her character.

“I mean, they didn’t show my character on the show at all, I don’t think,” he laughed. “I’m fun to be around, I’m a good guy, I like to have a good time. So I hope everyone knows that! I’m not as boring as I look on the show. I think I’m a really funny guy.”

And apparently he also loves to sing his own songs – all the time. In a Funny Instagram video Posted by Tim Thompson on July 26, a series of clips shows him singing the opening words to his debut single. “One Day Tonight” Time and time again backstage at CMA Fest.

The caption for the post reads: “Hi, this is Team Noah. In taking Noah’s experience @CMAFest “We noticed that Noah can’t stop singing his own song, so we thought we’d take to his social media and give you all a taste of being with him all the time… enjoy.”

Thompson learns to let go of fame and family

Thompson went from living in small town Louisa, Kentucky to becoming a Hollywood star in a matter of months. Returning home after the show ended in May 2022, she had to adjust to her newfound fame.

“Suddenly everyone knows who you are, you’re taking pictures with people,” he said during an interview with Taste of Country. It’s just a whole new ball game. “It definitely took me a minute to get used to it and realize I was doing it.”

“I was in my head for a minute, like it was almost unbelievable,” he added.

The young father, who will release his second single — a country version of Rihanna’s hit “Stay” — on July 29, said he splits his time between his hometown and Nashville, where he writes, records and performs.

“I just do what I have to do, come home to be with my son and my family,” he said. “It kind of helps me balance myself.”

Thompson said that despite all the good things that come with his newfound fame, there’s nothing better than being a father to his 14-month-old Walker.

“Everything about being a father is so special. He truly is my everything. When out at night, Thompson says, her family often plays “Someday Tonight” for Walker, who likes to dance to her dad’s songs.

The 20-year-old did not mention his longtime girlfriend Nicole Dixon, who appears frequently on American Idol with Thompson and their son. Rumors of a breakup have been circulating for the past few weeks, fueled by social media activity, which many fans believe could confirm their split.

For now, he’s focused on helping more and more fans meet the real Noah Thompson.

“I’m here, obviously, for a reason,” he told Taste of Country. “God had a plan, man, it kind of worked out.”
