Dua Lipa has officially spoken out about the illegal fireworks that happened at her recent concert. This scary incident caused three concertgoers to be injured.

Dua Lipa took the stage at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday as part of her upcoming Nostalgia Tour.

However, that all changed when an unknown suspect, apparently on the floor, set off fireworks at the end of the Levitating singer’s show.

In multiple videos captured by fans of the incident, fireworks can be seen exploding on the ground inside the indoor arena as spectators run to safety.

Lipa seemed unaware of the episode at the time. In these clips, she is seen thanking her dancers before the end of her performance.

Regardless, the 26-year-old singer released a statement addressing the shocking event.

“Last night, illegal fireworks went off in the crowd during my set in Toronto,” he wrote on his Instagram story. Creating a safe and inclusive environment in my shows is always my first priority. My team and I are as shocked and confused by these events as you all are.’

“Investigations are ongoing into the events taking place,” continued the new rules forecaster. Everyone involved is scrambling to figure out how this incident happened.

“Bringing this show to life for my fans has been an amazing experience,” he said at the end of the message. I am so sorry to anyone who was scared, felt unsafe, or had their enjoyment of the show affected in any way. all of my love.

Officials confirm the incident

Police shared with Toronto’s CityNews that they received a call about fireworks around 11:40 p.m. They also announced that the incident is under investigation.

These officials further noted that three fans who suffered minor injuries during the incident received medical attention on the spot. The police further reported that no permanent damage was done to the venue of the event.

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment also issued a statement regarding this incident.

They wrote, “Last night, at the end of a concert at Scotiabank Arena, unauthorized fireworks were set off on the floor by an audience member. As a result, three attendees received minor on-site assistance. They were able to escape without Go home for more medical care.
