As a medium, anime has the power to cross physical and cultural barriers with its transformative stories and impressive art styles.. So far, like the legacy anime Astro Boy, Akira, and Dragon Ball Z‘s iconic characters and genre-defining stories inspire modern popular media.

You can’t get that kind of effect without a healthy dose of plot. I’m not talking about your parent’s plot idea, dear reader. I’m talking about that mélange of spices, the plot that looks after dark.

Ask an anime fan if they watch these shows that spawn during the seasonal releases, and they’ll likely tell you a bold-faced lie to save face. But they’ve probably already watched that crappy anime or ordered the plastic-wrapped manga before you even knew it existed. Hard to believe, I know, but as an anime Chris Angel, I stand before you as proof of this fact. That’s right. Otaku Kotaku is a limit of “culture.”

In the spirit of oversharing and breaking anituber Gigguk’s golden rule Since I’ve never discussed or shared my anime watching with many fanservice services, I’ve put together a list of anime and manga you should check out for “plot”. Don’t say I never did you a favor.
