Weld County case, testing and outbreak data for week of July 27 – Greeley Tribune

Weld County officials reported a total of 96,041 cases of Covid-19 since the outbreak began as of Tuesday, an increase of 602 from a week earlier.

The average one-week positive test rate of this city is 10.74%, which has decreased by 12.04% compared to last week. The Greeley area has the lowest rate in the county with 8.32 percent. Southwest Weld has the highest rate in the county at 21.95%.

The total seven-day rate of Covid-19 hospitalizations was 10.04 per 100,000 residents, up from 7.91 a week earlier.

About 5.8% of patients in regional hospitals are Covid-19 patients, which was 4.9% in the previous week.

The state health department reported 15 active outbreaks this week in Weld County:

  10. Blue Valley Samaritan Community Elderly Resort. The outbreak was reported on June 1.
  11. MeadowView of Greeley. The outbreak was reported on May 25.
  12. Center at CenterPlace. The outbreak was reported on July 24.
  13. Westlake Lodge Health and Rehabilitation Center. The outbreak was reported on May 24.
  14. Greeley Life Care Center reported the outbreak on May 9.
  15. Fairacres Manor, Inc. Outbreak reported on May 5.

The county has reported 666 deaths from Covid-19, an increase of 2 cases over the past week. The state reported 717 deaths among Weld residents who contracted the virus, an increase from last week. The state also reported 11 new deaths due to Covid-19 in the state, bringing the total to 602.

The state’s average one-week positive rate is 10.64 percent, according to state data. The Mayo Clinic reports that the national positive rate is 17.5%.

Weld County reported that 63.9 percent of the eligible population, including children 6 months and older, had been vaccinated with at least one dose by July 22. About 59% have been fully vaccinated. A total of 97,570 additional doses have been prescribed.

The state reports that 75.01 percent of the population 5 years and older are fully vaccinated. A total of 2,167,723 people have received an additional dose.
