The singer and YouTuber shared a close-up video of her and revealed that the bald spot on her head was due to a rash that appeared during her time at Dance Moms.
In a follow-up video, Jojo made sure to clear up speculation from fans and said her hair loss wasn’t due to tight ponytails or certain hairstyles.

JoJo shared that her hair has long been the target of various speculations by trolls and fans online.
In an article for TODAY, she wrote that several netizens have made videos about her hair and commented on her hairstyle.
She wrote, “If I could say anything to the people who made these videos, I would probably say, ‘Thank you.’ Because these videos get so many views and they say my name and put a video with my picture in it I don’t know. I wouldn’t say, ‘No’ Thanks.” I’d like you to make a good video, but thanks.
