AUSTIN, TX – We were able to catch some scattered storms across the eastern counties. Radar estimates up to 2 inches of rain for isolated spots.
Chances of rain continue Thursday. The best chance of seeing rain will be southeast of Austin, but a shower or two can reach inland like the lane of Interstate 35. However, the chance of rain overall is only 10%-20%. But we’re hoping for the best, and we’ll keep the chances of a small rain in the forecast until Saturday.
Other than that, the heat is over three digits as we continue our climb through the top ten list for most three-digit days on record. A little desert dust could break out in central Texas by the end of this week. This will cause cloudy skies and possibly lower air quality. It will also reduce the chances of the already meager rainfall.
The fire risk remains high this week. So, remember, don’t burn outdoors! The tropics remain mouse-quiet for the next five days.
Mostly sunny. 10% chance of scattered showers or storm. South winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts of up to 20 mph.
Mostly sunny. 20% chance of scattered showers or storm. South winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts of up to 20 mph.
