The deadlines for entering this year’s horse, cattle, and small animal shows at the Colorado State Fair are just around the corner.
The following shows have an entry deadline on Monday, with late entries accepted through August 12:
- 4-H State Championships for Horses. Entries must be submitted online. Late entries are subject to a late fee of $50 per exhibitor.
- Junior Market, Open Breeding Shows, Livestock Shows Open to Young People. Entries must be submitted online. Late entries are subject to a fee of $100 per entry
- The market is open and the young rabbit is shown. All entries must be stamped by Monday and sent to the Livestock Bureau at the Colorado State Fair. Late entries are subject to a fee of $100 per entry.
The deadline to enter Prospect Steer, Prospect Heifer, and National Western Stock Show Catch-a-Calf is September 3. Entries must be submitted online. Late applications will not be accepted.

Poultry shows will not be held due to highly pathogenic avian influenza virus, now confirmed in commercial home and backyard poultry flocks in 38 states. The Colorado State Veterinary Office recommended in June Cancellation or postponement of all mixed poultry events due to the outbreak of the disease.
