Fans of Klondike’s Choco Taco have said goodbye to their beloved ice cream brand as it has been discontinued.
In a statement on its website and social media, the company confirmed that Klondike has removed the ice cream ingredient.
There is still plenty of time to find Choco Tacos in stores across the country. Here you can buy it before it’s gone for good.
Klondike stop eating your beloved ice cream
The fan-favorite Klondike has dropped the Choco Taco after it’s been on our shelves for more than four decades.
“A necessary but unfortunate part of this process is that sometimes we have to stop products, even beloved items like Taco Choco,” the company said on Twitter.
“We know this can be very frustrating, and we hope you’ll try our other delicious frozen dessert!”
Klondike said the ice cream has been discontinued in both 1-carat and 4-carat package sizes after seeing an “unprecedented rise” in demand in other products over the past two years.
The company said such decisions are necessary, although Choco Taco has been a beloved item of its portfolio.
Where to buy choco sandwiches
Klondike’s Choco Taco is still available in supermarket chains across the United States while supplies last.
At the time of writing, you can buy Choco Tacos from Albertsons and Safeway and the item is available for delivery and pickup.
Ice cream is also available on the CornerShop app and you can currently purchase the 4-carat package size from Jubilee Market Place.
Several Twitter users reported that they found the item at their local store, so be sure to visit your nearest location before the ice cream is good.
“I had to buy a choco taco because they’re going to meet!” person chirp With a little ice cream.
Another fan shared a video of him receiving 23 Choco Tacos from his local store on Instagram.
Item can be returned
Choco Taco can’t go on forever because Klondike has quipped that the ice cream brand might make a comeback at some point in the future.
In response to Twitter, the company wrote: “We know Choco Taco is a fan favorite and top seller for our out-of-home business, so this is especially painful.
“We’re working hard to find a way to bring Choco Tacos back into ice cream trucks in the coming years.”
Keep your eyes peeled on Klondike’s Twitter page for more information and updates.
