Gotham Knights gets new concept art, comic tie series

WB Games Montréal had more than a few shows Gotham Knights At San Diego Comic-Con. Plus the Batgirl trailer stationed Debuting early in the event, the team released a new concept art for the upcoming RPG, featuring the Court of Owls’ lair, as well as the place where the Pat family calls home. In addition to showing more of the game in different states, the developer has also announced that it will be getting a prequel comic series.

The new art doesn’t shed much of the game’s specifics, but it continues to set the tone. In the first set of art designs, members of the Court of Owls – a secret group that will play the villains in the upcoming game – can be seen in what appears to be a kind of open area of ​​the lair, complete with two large owl statues.

Other artwork depicts various members of the Pat family, including Tim Drake (Robin), Jason Todd (Red Hood), and even Alfred. In the photos, they can be seen hanging out, arguing and even looking at what appears to be a Talon, the owl’s court organ that acts as their musculature.

Along with the new art, a six-issue prequel comic book series for the game was recently announced at San Diego Comic-Con. The series is titled Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded Citywritten by Evan Narcisse with ABEL art, and will debut October 25, 2022, the same day the game was launched. According to a brief synopsis of the series, the comic will follow a “mysterious virus” that begins to spread to Gotham City, “turning its victims into iris-infested maniacs, driven by looting, theft, and outbursts of anger.” From the comics sounds, it looks like this will happen before Batman’s presumed death.
